Born March 30 in Eau Claire, Eau Claire Co., Wis. Married Edward L. Dowling on February 22, 1898. Mr. Dowling is deceased. Married again, this time on November 30, 1912, to Arthur M. Neher. One son, La Moine M. Dowling, was born to the first marriage, and he is Area Supervisor of the Dept. of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, at St. Paul, Minn.
There are three grandchildren, Imogene C. Dowling, Secretary to the Comptroller, Wood Conversion Co. of St. Paul; Robert L. Dowling, SM 5/c U.S.S. Tacloban-PG 22 (Ex Tulsa) U. S. Navy; and Donald W. Dowling, S 1/c (SM) Rangefinders Calibration Station at Pearl Harbor. The grandsons on July 1, 1945, had been in the Navy two years.

Jessie Montgomery Neher Dies at 71; Life-Long Resident
Jessie Montgomery Neher, 71, of 412 Seaver st., died at 2:40 Saturday at Sacred Heart hospital. A life-long resident of Eau Claire, she was graduated from Eau Claire Senior high school in 1896. She was the daughter of the late Archibald Montgomery, pioneer lumberman of Eau Claire.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur M. Neher; a son, LaMoine M. Dowling, St. Paul, Minn., and a son, Richard A. Neher, Chicago; one brother, William Montgomery, Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Imogene C. Dowling, Los Angeles, Calif., Robert L. Dowling, Donald W. Dowling, both of St. Paul, Minn., Elenor R. Neher, and Marilyn E. Neher, Chicago; five cousins, Mrs. W. Seyberth, Mrs. Knute Anderson, Eau Claire, Mrs. James H. Nolan, Mrs. Hoyt Yale, St. Paul, and Mrs. Edward Babcock, Boston, Mass.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Christ church cathedral with Gordon Brandt officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
Friends may call at Stokes and Sons funeral chapel this morning.
Pallbearers will be Henry Neher, Leonard Seyberth, Ralph Churchill, Roy Jones, John Ashbaugh and Charles Campbell.
